Michael Jackson: HIStory – Sunday 5 June, The Opera House
If you are a Michael Jackson fan then this is a must see event! This musical tribute and live concert experience journeys through Michael Jackson’s vast and incredible catalogue of work, including his beginnings with the Jackson 5. The show features all of Jackson’s greatest hits performed live by multi-talented impersonator Dantanio. Come along and celebrate the life and talent of the King of Pop in this not-to-be-missed show.

Blue Man Group – Tuesday 7 June – Sunday 19 June, St James Theatre
Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to see international entertainment phenomenon The Blue Man Group right here in Wellington! Their wildly popular, award-winning production will be heading to New Zealand for the first time as part of their world tour with dates scheduled for Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.

Wellington Jazz Festival – Wednesday 8 June – Sunday 12 June, Various Locations
The Wellington Jazz Festival is coming back to town this mid-winter and it promises to be another fantastic few days of jazz music across the city. There will be a total of 100 jazz gigs across the 5 days in a number of venues across the city and a guaranteed good vibe throughout.
Last year’s event was a huge success as the city came alive and we can expect the same again this year. Join world-class musicians as they serve up a feast of jazz all set to the backdrop of a city full of wonderful food and great places to grab a drink.

Gazley Volkswagen Wellington Marathon – Sunday 26 June, Westpac Stadium
Celebrating its 30th year, the Gazley Volkswagen Wellington Marathon has been the city’s favourite footrace for three decades since its launch in 1986. The flat and scenic course which starts out from the city’s famous Westpac stadium is seen as a great way to get into distance running with all the traditional distance runs available including the full and half marathons, the 5 and 10k runs and a kids magic mile.
Join more than 5,000 fellow Wellingtonians and get involved in this year’s race – it promises to be a cracker.
