About the Wains Hotel Dunedin

Currently under refurbishment, the 157 year-old Wains Hotel is being transformed into Dunedin’s first 5-star hotel. Wains Hotel Dunedin is located in an elegant, Victorian-era building situated right in the heart of Dunedin. Within walking distance of the Octagon city centre, shopping and entertainment venues and the business hub, this beautifully detailed hotel offers personalised service and stylish, boutique accommodation. Car Parking

  • – Secure car parking is available in close proximity to the hotel at the rate of $15.00 per night. We suggest reserving a car park when you make your booking to ensure availability.
We are currently undergoing some refurbishment work which will really lift the hotel rooms and the facilities of our lovely old building. As there are two wings to the hotel with two separate lifts and we are working on one at a time, we trust that it would not be too disruptive to our guests. We still serve breakfast daily and have a charge back facility at two local restaurants as a dining option.
