6 Great Events In Auckland This Halloween

Happy Halloween Auckland! If you’d like to treat (or trick) yourself or the kids to a night out, aside from the usual neighbourly door knocking, here are a few ideas:

Events for the family

As you can imagine, there are a lot of kid-friendly events taking place across the city. Here are some of our favourites:

Stardome’s Spooktacular Family Show

The astronomers at One Tree Hill’s Stardome Observatory and Planetarium are swapping their telescopes for broomsticks for a “spooktacular” family night, between 6.00pm and 7.00pm on Tuesday 31 October. Step into the haunted foyer where your little monsters can participate in science experiments, before the planetarium show. With every child taking away a goody bag, this will surely be a night to remember!

Kumeu Light Party

Kumeu Community Hall sees the annual Kumeu Light Party on Tuesday 31 October from 5.30pm to 8.00pm. This combined church and community initiative is a child-friendly, “scare-free” event, meaning that costumes are definitely encouraged, so long as they’re not frightening. Relax while your kids enjoy the free of charge disco, bouncy castle, crafts, and more.
