CPG Hotels is one of New Zealand’s largest privately owned hotel groups, with a collection of 10 premium and boutique properties, each with their own unique character, history and style.

Renowned for creating award-winning, boutique hotels offering true Kiwi hospitality, we continue to set the bar high for excellence in service and inspiring design, constantly showing the upmost respect, care and attention to guests, staff and the environment.

Established in May 2015, CPG Hotels properties are centrally located to allow easy access for guests to activities, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment, with accommodation options spanning corporate to leisure guests.

Our primary goal as an organisation is to help our guests, employees and local communities to thrive. We consider partnerships and sponsorships on an ongoing basis, always seeking opportunities which will partner our corporate ideals around the protection of the environment and contributing to the wellbeing of local communities.

In 2020 CPG Hotels launched Fable Hotels and Resorts, a boutique brand of bespoke hotels that offer more than simply a luxurious place to stay, but rather a curated experience bringing the best of contemporary world-class hospitality, combined with artful details to enjoy, and twists of local wisdom and flavour. The first chapter of Fable properties include Hotel Fitzroy and Fable Dunedin which opened in 2020.



At all of our CPG hotels, the health and safety of our guests and staff members is our number one priority. Our plan to protect guests from Covid-19 includes our rigorous cleaning procedures.

We are working with Ecolab – a global leader in professional cleaning and hygiene solutions. Ecolab products are used in line with the general cleaning and disinfection advice issued by the New Zealand Ministry of Health in response to COVID-19.

Our safety protocols related to food service, safety and cleaning have been designed in line with New Zealand Government regulations. All cleanliness and hygiene procedures are overseen by a dedicated team of health and safety practitioners. Kitchens, back offices, guest rooms and public spaces are all subject to stringent disinfecting protocols, which includes all high-touch surfaces.

We also have protocols in place to respond to New Zealand’s COVID Alert Levels, which include social distancing protocols. We encourage the use of the New Zealand Government’s COVID Tracer App, an easy way for guests to track their movements. For those who do not have the app, we also have a guest register. We require anyone entering our premises to either scan in or register their details with us.
