Summer in the Square
For those of you who haven’t made it down to Aotea Square yet this summer…what are you waiting for? Summer in the Square is bringing a whole range of free events to downtown Auckland and is celebrating summer in style. Pull up a deck chair and prepare to part in the last weekend of January as the Latin Fiesta brings a whole heap of Latin and Brazilian-inspired events to Auckland.
The square will be packed out for the whole weekend from Friday 20 January to Sunday 22 January with stages set up on either side of Aotea Square. Ever wanted to learn to dance the salsa? Now’s your chance! There will be a series of dance lessons taking place across the weekend including salsa, bachata, tango and New Zealand’s biggest rueda circle. The evenings will be jumping with night time live Latin music. The best thing about the Latin Fiesta? Like all Summer in the Square events, it’s totally FREE!
